FIELDWORK

Wednesdays 6-9pm, October 6, 20, November 3, 10, 17 & December 8, 15
Mixed Discipline Fieldwork
Facilitated by Shalewa Mackall
This founding program of The Field has been a powerful tool for over 20 years.  Fieldwork is a place for artists to learn about and develop their work.  In the workshop, participants cultivate their insight into composition and strengthen their ability to give feedback by using the Fieldwork format to exchange critical commentary.  This method provides detailed information that helps artists hone their vision.  By focusing comments on what’s happening in the work and how those choices shape it, Fieldwork supports individual autonomy and authorship.  It also connects participants with a community of creative peers, by providing a forum for artists of different performance disciplines.

Fee: $95/$70 Field Members
Location: The FAR Space, 521 West 26th Street, 2nd floor, between 10th and 11th Avenues

    • Thanks! We try to support artists as much as possible. I’m sure that East Indian Theatre runs into some of the same challenges as we do as an African American Theatre. It makes a difference when we can support one another and learn from our differences.
Thanks for letting us know that our efforts make a difference to you! It keeps us going! Congratulations to you and your cast, Martin! Much continued success!
